One of the oldest art fairs in Europe, Art Athina has been active since its establishment by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association in 1993. Its strong institutional presence is realized today by the art fair itself, hosting Greek and international galleries and by its multidisciplinary parallel activities and programming. This year Art Athina is preparing for its 30th anniversary. The largest annual art event in Greece will take place under the patronage of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou. The international contemporary art fair returns to the grounds of the fabulous Zappeion Megaron and hosts 59 art galleries from Greece as well as Germany, France, the Netherlands, Cyprus, the UK, Switzerland, Poland, and Romania. This year’s rich edition, along with the fair, includes the sections Talks, Projects, Video, Performance and Kids’ Educational Programme. The annual appointment of the Athenian art scene takes place from September 14 to 17.
