In March 2020, PCAI participated as a British Council delegate in the first Climate Story Lab held in London and it is happy to share two new digital resources that came out of this extremely thought-provoking, four-day event on climate narratives.

The Climate Story Lab was born of the conviction that story-based climate action is more critical than ever before. The lab events are designed to catalyze the most compelling  media projects being made right now toward big impact. Through www.climatestorylab.org feel free to download:

  • The Report Out from Climate Story Lab UK, which summarises key insights and take-aways from the three day meeting and aims to inspire media makers, climate activists and their allies around the globe to support story-based climate action.

The climate crisis has arrived and the public opinion is changing rapidly. The Climate Story Lab is bringing together experts & storytellers for four days of collaboration and more specifically to unite divided publics with the truth of our present reality and with shared visions of a climate just future. After the 2019 Climate Story Lab in New York the 2020 Climate Lab in London welcomed over 110 colleagues over the course of the week to the Mary Ward Including friends from PCAI, Comic Relief, Vice, Vulcan, European Climate Foundation, British Film Institute, We Mean Business, Friends Of The Earth, The Guardian, Greenpeace, European Cultural Foundation, Mama Cash, Solberga Foundation, Sheffield DocFest, Porticus Foundation, UK Youth Climate Coalition, Mission 2020, Open Society Foundations, XR, British Council, Resurgence, Mothers Of Invention Podcast, Patagonia, Nowness, Climate Outreach, Theos Think Tank, Institute For Public Policy Research and many many more. Together, this powerful group strategized with fifteen teams of creative storytellers and help them to imagine how best to inspire citizens, engage politicians and mobilize communities with their projects.
