Anarousa is a Greek word that defines the upward flow, the impetuous return of a wave from the shore to the sea, a whirlpool, a mermaid or a sprite of the sea. The work begins with a woman entering a vast, ever-changing fluid space, while inviting the viewer to enter an immersive projection and relate their shadows to her body. As she descends, she assimilates the world that surrounds her, succumbing to its force, motion and color. The projection enfolds, entangles and tenderly caresses an entrant. It invites them to withstand or even transmute their own existential whirlwind, and in it to allow its colors to emerge, unearthing a sense of togetherness in a lonely time.
